More than just Beach Volleyball
Men and women are not the same. Nothing new there then. But for years, we girls have been arguing that we deserve the same rights as men, that we can do the same jobs as men and deserve the same pay.
One area which our foremothers fought hard to make strides in is sport. Women did not compete at the Olympics until the 1900′s. And even then they were almost banished for fear of fainting. Even then, the Americans weren’t allowed to swim because it would mean they had to step out of their long skirts, and the women’s marathon was only introduced in 1984…
